Stanley Perl is a Sydney-based painter working in oils and acrylics. Spanning florals, still life and contemporary abstraction, his work is defined by rich colour, expressive texture and an enduring love of the painted surface.

Born in South Africa in 1942, Stanley Perl has devoted his life to art — first as a collector and dealer, and in recent years as a painter in his own right. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Unisa University with a major in Art History (1981), and opened his first gallery in Johannesburg in 1982.
After immigrating to Australia in 1986, Stanley ran galleries in Double Bay, Chatswood and Vaucluse until 2011. He now operates from Rose Bay as an art consultant, dealer and full-time painter — working primarily in oils and acrylics on canvas.
